Battery Locomotives Polar Bear & Sea Lion

Currently running on the railway Polar Bear was built by Alan Keef ltd in 2004. The original battery locomotives built by British Electric Vehicles in 1921 were named Polar Bear and Sea Lion to replace (as it was then thought) the steam locomotives of the same names. Complete with motor, lights, switch & battery carrier. Either Polar Bear or Sea Lion can be built.

This kit is of the rebuilt version of the Milnes of Birkenhead coach and contains valences so that either A or B coach used for specials today can be constructed.

These coaches differ from each other in the style of valence both of which are supplied in the kit allowing No1 or No2 to be constructed.

Coach number 3 was built with the intention of fitting side doors and windows but these have not yet been fitted (2012).
