Leek & Manifold Valley Light Railway
Because of the generous spacing on the bogies these kits are supplied with insulated wheels which allow the coaches to be built as 32mm or 45mm gauge.
These kits are to scale so will result in a large model some 720mm long and as a consequence have large out and in swings on tight curves.
Third Class Open
The L&MVLR had two of these coaches that it purchased at £946 each.
£175
First/Third Brake Composite
These two coaches completed the entire compliment of the L&MVLR passenger stock, purchased at £992 each.
£175
The Covered Van
The L&MVLR had just one covered van numbered 3 in the stock list. This Leeds Forge design was identical to those supplied to the Barsi Railway except for a wood boarded floor.
Available in 32mm or 45mm gauge.
£90
The Low Sided Wagon
Numbered 1 & 2 on the stock list these wagons were pressed into service on the opening day (1903) as additional passenger transporters by bolting on benches. These wagons were used in the dismantling of the railway and then were subsequently scrapped in 1937.
Available in 32mm or 45mm gauge.
£70
The Short Transporter Car
These 4 wagons (numbered 4,5,6, & 7) were used to transport standard gauge wagons rather than have to reload to narrow gauge wagons.
Because of the tight design constraints these kits are only available in the correct bogie configuration in 32mm gauge. If 45mm gauge is required then the wagon will be supplied as a fixed 4 wheel truck.
£60
Standard Gauge 3ft Wheels, £15, are available and are £10 if bought with transporter car.
Kits are complete with steel wheels, bearings, & Magnabar couplings.
