The Innisfail Tramway

The Innisfail Tramway from Queensland, Australia, provides a complete range of a different style of rolling stock for your garden railway and also a new load, sugar cane. This is the correct stock for the Roundhouse Fowler Locomotive, but also its size is very suited to those whose lines do not suit the longer wagons of other railway companies.

7 Foot Brake Van

This was the answer when the Board of Trade insisted on using separate brake vans. Two were built in 1923 and were numbered 554 and 672.With such a short wheelbase the ride was so bad that a sheet of steel was laid on the floor of each one to try and reduce the alarming sway. These vans lasted until 1949.
